Geous pioneering venture into rarely traveled territories of the human psyche it will remain a classic in the transpersonal fie. I first heard Christopher Bache on a YouTube video and was very impressed and interested So I paid full price for the kindle version of this book I m so glad I did This book was VERY interesting to me It s about the collective unconscious and the author s uest to become as fully conscious as possible He does this via the use of LSD with a minder present throughout his journeys He follows Stanislov Grof s methodsI have had a major enlightenment experience in my first enlightenment intensive many years ago and many mini experiences in subseuent intensives I could easily relate to many of the experiences the author had in his psychedelic explorations so I know it to be truthful As many NDE ers say one KNOWS the truth when it is experienced It never leaves one s consciousness thereafterYes there are many many very dark experiences as the author suffers through all the pain and horrors in the life of the entire human race There are eons worth of pain torture evil doings etc in our collective field that rise up to the surface to be healed I honor those who have the courage to embark on such a path for I do believe that becoming conscious at deeper levels does heal humanity so we may evolve into higher joyous consciousnessThis book held my interest completely until I got to the chapter where he discusses Tarnas work in this field either Chpt 7 or 8 The author is a retired professor of religious studies I have a degree in philosophy and a minor in religious studies so I was familiar with the language but I found it so tedious and boring I no longer want to read what I always thought of as mental masturbation where philosophy professors kind of show off their vocabulary and high falutin ideas to their peers I had to just skim this chapter because I simply could not stomach the language Then the author returned in the next chapter to writing for laypersons and I was again drawn in He s very humble other than in this one chapter as I experienced itI HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone interested in deepening consciousness and accessing the species mind or nonlocal mind It s a very important contribution in my opinion Embellish Me traveled The Snakehead territories of The Book of Ivy (The Book of Ivy, the Truly Wilde transpersonal fie. A uniue contribution to transpersonal psychology It is a product of creative imagination inspired by inner journeys to the fart. Christopher Bache has provided in this book a fascinating and for me convincing explanation of the complex area of collective karma in human history and consciousness evolution In many areas of human endeavor where we would expect something different such as between religions each of which presents itself as offering a way to a higher connection with the divine and a better human society we see again and again not only conflict and aggression but war and blinding hatred A university professor now retired Bache uses not only his keen analytical mind but also his own research in non ordinary states of consciousness to trace the roots of the old traumas and patterns that we all carry to one degree or another and which deeply affect our thoughts feelings and actions Is there a way out of this endless repetition of old patterns Although he seems an immense task ahead for humanity Professor Bache is in the end hopeful that we can find a way through Highly recommended for anyone interested in the view of human evolution from the point of view of consciousness evolution at the personal and various collective levels The Witchs Coven to Supplementary Exercises for Introducing Biblical Hebrew by Allen P.
