The PMP Exam: How to Pass on Your First Try, Fifth Edition

This book provides all the information project managers need to thoroughly prepare for the test Review materials cover all the processes inputs tools and outputs that will be tested and extra help. If you want an easy way and hope to read just the book and skip PMBOK you may be disapointed I ve firstly read through PMBOK and when reading this book for clarification I ve notoced that a lot of information is missing They stick only to essencial and main concepts Not sure how much of the material not menitioned in the book will be needed for the exam as I am yet to atempt it This is an old version so it s not consistent with PMBOK 6th edition but if you stadt from PMBOK you will know which aspects of book to ignore and what is missing It does hiwever clarify PMBOK very well I did spot few discrepancies like book claims some items are synonyms while PMBOK has a clear distinvtion between them

This book is based on the 5th edition PMBOK please look for the updated 6th edition book by Andy Crowe ISBN 978 0990907473A study guide for the Project Management Professional PMP certification exam. I m so happy to have found this book to help me prepare for the PMP exam My process Read through chapter Took corresponding uiz Tallied results and moved on without reading the explanations After I had completed all of the chapters I went back through and retook the uizzes I noticed my score had dropped on almost each uiz because it had been weeks since I originally read the chapters Read the description for each answer regardless of whether I got the uestion right or wrong Took practice exam scored well didn t read answer descriptions Studied additional materials from a separate class I had taken my notes etc Retook practice exam scored even better felt great read through each answer description Took a different Practice Exam online the night before the PMP did NOT do well freaked out Studied notes I had taken from this book practiced formulas felt betterBottom line this was very helpful but I do feel that the uestions on the practice exam were much easier than I encountered on the actual PMP exam I believe this is because they come directly from the text so they re top of mind Be sure to supplement your studying with additional resources Which seems obvious Also relax get organized drink some whiskey and focus

I don't usually write product reviews but when I reached what should have been labeled as Chapter 9 and the book has it as Chapter 10 (there are two chapter 10s in this book), I feel compelled to comment. I bought this book for the purpose of studying for the PMP exam. As a seasoned project manager I realize the importance of details. This book has error from small (formatting inconsistencies) to major (the formulas on page 228

I'm so happy to have found this book to help me prepare for the PMP exam! My process:
    Read through chapter
    Took corresponding quiz
Tallied results (and moved on without reading the explanations)
After I had completed all of the chapters, I went back through and retook the quizzes (I noticed my score had dropped on almost each quiz because it had been weeks since I originally read the chapters)

Studied carefully the Andy Crowe glossary. It is comprehensive than the PMBOK.
Read very slowly and carefully the entire PMBOK.

I just passed the PMP with this book! I took a 9 week boot camp course six months ago, which helped me with the foundation. However, if you want to pass the exam before March 2018 (when the exam changes); I suggest you get this book! Take it from me I am not a good test taker, and I passed this exam! You're awesome Andy Crowe!

Really love this study guide! The easiest and most concise explanations of the top PMP study guides I've ordered and read and that's a lot! It also aligns very well with the PMBOK; however, it's critical to read that boring book (PMBOK). This should be used in parallel as you study. Read the section in the PMBOK, then read the section that aligns with the it in this book for a clearer and less boring understand

First off, i would like to address everyone that is complaining about this book being too easy. It is meant to be easy because it helps you understand everything in layman's terms. But that doesn't negate the fact that you s
